Topic: An Update on RSV Protection for Vulnerable Populations
Speaker: Dr. Shannon Riley
Dr. Shannon Riley is a Respirologist at William Osler Health System based out of Etobicoke General Hospital. She is also a staff Respirologist and PFT Lab Director at the iHealth Centre in Vaughan. As a general adult Respirologist, she sees patients with a wide breadth of respiratory diseases.
Dr. Riley obtained her Doctor of Medicine from University College Dublin, before going on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton. She obtained her Fellowship in Respirology at the University of Toronto.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session, the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the limited treatment options and the unmet need of RSV vaccination in older adults.
- Implement actionable strategies for the prevention of RSV based on clinical guidelines and risk factors.
- Discussing current evidence and experience with RSV vaccines in 2025
