Exercise and pharmacologic stress testing with myocardial perfusion imaging play crucial roles in diagnosing and managing coronary artery disease (CAD).
Perfusion abnormalities in CAD are readily detectable BEFORE electrical changes on EKG, structural changes on stress echocardiogram or clinical symptoms are manifested.
