Designed for family physicians and primary care providers across Ontario, this session focuses on actionable strategies to improve patient access to income and health benefits.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate OW and ODSP and identify when each program is most appropriate for a patient’s situation.

Prescribing for Insomnia: When and How to Use Medications Safely
Insomnia is one of the most common issues family physicians see, but treating it effectively isn’t always straightforward. While patients may initially look to medication for relief, the best evidence supports Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) as the first-line treatment. This session will take you through how to assess insomnia properly, what CBTi can look like in your practice and which medications are safe when needed. Join us to feel more confident in helping your patients sleep better—safely and effectively.
