The Ministry of Health has launched Round 2 of the Interprofessional Primary Care Team (IPCT) Call for Proposals for 2026/27. This funding will expand access to primary care across Ontario, with a goal of connecting 500,000 more people to a primary care clinician or team.
As part of the Central West Ontario Health Team’s (CW OHT)’s broader Primary Care Attachment Plan; to bring more primary care closer to home and ensure every resident is attached by 2029, we are actively preparing to submit proposals. Unlike the last round, where timelines were very tight, this process provides more time for engagement and planning. The deadline for submission is November 14, 2025, giving us several weeks to work collaboratively on strong proposals.
We are reaching out to the following to gauge your interest in participating in this round of proposals:
1. Existing IPCTs or team based models
2. Primary care clinics looking to become a Family Health Team
Proponents will be invited to attend a virtual engagement session on Thursday, October 16th 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., where we will share the CW OHT’s collaborative approach for proposal development – highlighting opportunities for standardization, harmonization, and partnerships across the CW region, provide lessons learned from Round 1, as well as discuss next steps to meet the Nov. 14th submission deadline.
Please email [email protected] should you be interested in participating in Round 2 of the Interprofessional Primary Care Team (IPCT) Call for Proposals for 2026/27.
